THE ESSENTIALS OF BEING A SECURE BASE FOR YOUR CHILD
I have an unshakable belief that every single parent is doing their best to be what’s in attachment vocabulary called “a secure base” for their children. Caring for our children is wired so deeply in us that we simply can’t help, but throw ourselves to meet this challenge. A lot of the time we are doing it intuitively, we figure it out as we go along.
It can be incredibly rewarding when it is working, when we feel connected with our children, when the relationship makes sense. It can also be frustrating, overwhelming and confusing when it doesn’t. It can feel like a whole lot of guesswork.
It does not have to be this way. You don’t need to figure it all out on your own.
After over 50 years of research and analysing thousands of secure relationships we know the 4 key elements that make up a secure base. I designed a workshop that will help you to embody all 4 of these elements. Knowing where to put your focus, time and energy makes parenting more satisfying, helps your confidence grow and your children thrive even more.
It’s a free workshop delivered on Zoom, on Tuesday, August 18, 8-9 pm UK time. Email me for the link if you would like to take part.
